I design and handcraft beautiful glass jewelry. For my bead jewelry, I use vintage and collectible glass beads, mineral beads and pearls. The techniques I use to make my bead jewelry include stringing, wirewrapping and knotting.
I handcraft fused glass jewelry also, incorporating cathedral (stained) glass, opal (opaque) glass and dichroic glass to create unique layers and color effects. I choose, cut and assemble glass pieces, fuse them in a kiln, hand cut and grind into shape, add other elements and fuse again as necessary until the piece seems complete.
Since 1990, my business, Bowerbirds, has sold my jewelry and other jewelry made by my friends, and a fine selection of colorful art wire and bead mixes to use in your own beaded wirework jewelry or miniature wire sculpture.

I play Euphonium and Trombone with groups including Kovanda’s Czech Band, the Good Times Brass Band of Houston, Texas, Blasmusik Texas, and, as of recently, the Round Top Brass Band. I have also been heard singing bass in a church choir.
